It is only possible to keep St Mary’s going and open to the public through the dedication and commitment of friends, volunteers and supporters. If you have time and energy we would very much like to discuss with you how you might contribute.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering provides an opportunity to meeting new people and make new friends

Volunteering can help you build on and develop new skills and abilities

Volunteering helps preserve and develop a remarkable piece of English history and local heritage

Our continuing highly positive feedback from visitors to St Mary’s regularly emphasises the appreciation of volunteers and their contributions. St Mary’s therefore offers a unique volunteering environment in an atmosphere of friendliness and welcome. Our volunteers help to bring St Mary’s to life for visitors, and enjoy a very fulfilling time in beautiful surroundings.
